Hello bidders,
Welcome to BidTreat – where luxury travel meets charity (with a hint of the excitement of sports betting!)
While everyone else was celebrating the New Year, I was on the phone with non-profit directors and hotels, trying to figure out how these charity auctions work.
Here's what I learned.
Hotels, resorts, and timeshare owners donate rooms to help charities raise money. Some have dedicated programs for this. Others work with agencies to offer below-cost rates for the charity. It's a win-win. Their rooms get used, and charities raise money.
In 2025, I want to take this to the next level. Work directly with charities to create vacation packages for this list. But to make these packages amazing, I need to know what you're looking for.

This a common question for @thebidtreat
For context, I built a site that tracks deals on hotels / resorts from charity auctions.
I've seen luxury resorts go for 70% off Expedia's pricing.
How is that possible? Aren't they losing money?
